2011 has certainly started, and in fact it feels like we're off to a flyer already.
As most of you know, we close our Lodge doors after the December meeting and re-open them again in February.
Since then there have been some major issues that have affected Queensland.
75% of the state has been declared a disaster zone after the recent flooding that affected, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Dalby, Toowoomba, Ipswich and Brisbane. These floods have been compared to the floods of 74.
Homes were devastated and in some cases destroyed completely. Some will take months to clean, and that's just the start of it. Then there is the loss of life. Homes can be replaced but lives can't.
